Dr Heather Tan
Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Physician
Dr Heather Tan is a Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Physician who completed her specialist respiratory training and Sleep Medicine fellowship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She is also a visiting specialist at the Alice Springs Hospital with a passion in improving access to care in rural and remote communities.
She has experience in managing a broad range of respiratory conditions such as lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She has a special interest in sleep medicine, including obstructive sleep apnoea, sleep hypoventilation syndrome and complex sleep disorders such as narcolepsy, parasomnias, and restless legs syndrome.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr Tan is a clinical lecturer at the Adelaide University teaching medical students and trainee doctors.
Dr Heather Tan is consulting in Ashford Thoracics on Mondays and Wednesday mornings as well as Stirling Hospital once a month.
