Respiratory and Sleep Physician

Dr Michelle Tan graduated from the University of Adelaide and completed her specialist training in Respiratory Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Dr Tan manages a broad range of respiratory conditions, with particular interest in lung cancer, where urgent referrals can be seen within one week, as well as interstitial lung disease and asthma. She also treats a variety of sleep disorders, such as obstructive sleep apnoea, narcolepsy, parasomnias and REM behaviour disorder.

She holds admitting and consulting rights at Ashford Hospital, Calvary Adelaide Hospital, Calvary North Adelaide Hospital, St Andrew’s Hospital, and Burnside Hospital (sleep studies) with a weekly bronchoscopy and pleural procedural list at Calvary Adelaide Hospital.

Dr Tan consults at Ashford Thoracics on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
